Christy Chin – Associate Director of Alumni Affairs, Philanthropy Workshop West.
Christy comes here from the Skoll Foundation, where she was a senior program officer who managed a portfolio of grants designed to build the field of social entrepreneurship. Earlier she was a co-chair of a project on volunteer consulting for the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. She also has more than a decade of experience in venture capital, as a principal with Bedrock Capital Partners, a director of business development for The Frontier Group, and an investment analyst with Norwest Venture Capital. She also worked as a research associate at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, where she earned an M.B.A. Christy earlier received a B.A. in History from Colgate University.
Jack Fischer – Communications Officer.
Before coming to the Hewlett Foundation, Jack was a staff writer for the San Jose Mercury News, where he most recently was the art critic. In his years at the Mercury News, he was a general assignment and investigative reporter, and was part of the staff that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Before joining the Mercury, he worked at newspapers in New Jersey and Texas, and a wire service in Washington, D.C.
Eunice Freitas – Senior Accountant, Finance.
Before joining the Foundation, Eunice worked for a digital security company. She has a long history of accounting management in high tech, biotech, and government. She received her B.S. in Accounting from Humboldt State University.
Marc Greenfield – Help Desk Team Lead, IT.
Marc was the Desktop Support Manager for Aspect Communications in San Jose, and previously developed his IT skills at The House of Blues in Los Angeles. He earned his B.A. in Communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has achieved his MCSA certification from Microsoft.
Jacob Harold – Program Officer, Philanthropy and Regional Grants.
Jacob worked as a consultant at the Bridgespan Group, where he advised nonprofit clients working to improve education outcomes and promote community engagement. He also worked as a consultant for the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and as a climate change campaigner for Rainforest Action Network and Greenpeace USA. Harold received a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Rama Praswitrianto – Help Desk Technician, IT.
Before joining the Foundation, Rama worked at the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Rama received his B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, Hayward.
Vineet Sharma – Network Server Team Lead, IT.
Vineet joined the Foundation in March 2006 as Network and Server Team Lead, responsible for supporting the IT infrastructure. Before coming to the Foundation, Vineet was with Harmonic, Inc., a leading provider of broadband optical networking and digital video systems. He has more than a decade of senior-level system administration experience, with a strong background in infrastructure planning, network security, project management, and customer service. Vineet holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Power Engineering Institute, Moscow, Russia.
Jefferson Stone – Associate Director, Private Equity, Finance.
Before coming to the Foundation, Jeff was a vice president with Probitas Partners, an alternative investment advisory firm in San Francisco. Earlier, he worked as a manager with Siebel Systems and an associate with Pacific Corporate Group. Jeff earned a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
