The Foundation Welcomes New Employees
Kim Jorstad – Program Coordinator, The Philanthropy Workshop West.
Jorstad joined the Foundation in June 2008 and brings to The Philanthropy Workshop West more than ten years of leadership in managing projects and operations. Previously, Kim served as managing director for the California Association for Microenterprise Opportunity. Before this, she served as program manager for the Bay Area Entrepreneur Association, a nonprofit dedicated to providing business education, networking, and support to small business owners. Earlier in her career, she conducted market studies for a new environmental products business and an international hydraulics company. She also spent two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA member. Kim earned her B.S. degree in marketing and international business from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and has completed continuing education courses in finance, business management, nonprofit management, and human resources.
Camilla Simon – Program Assistant, Environment.
Before joining the Environment Program as a Program Assistant, Camilla Simon worked for Burr, Pilger & Mayer LLP as an administrative assistant in assurance, where she spearheaded a green initiative and developed the framework for implementing environmentally-friendly practices in each of their four Bay Area offices. Previously, she lived in Portland, Oregon and taught dance classes for Portland Parks & Recreation’s Arts Center and was a site director at the YMCA’s before- and after-school day care program. Camilla holds a B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from Pacific University.
