Leanne Sedowski
Research Associate, Global Development Program

Leanne joins the Foundation with three years’ experience in trade and Africa issues. At the German Marshall Fund, she worked with the Agricultural Markets Program on issues such as the impact of U.S. farm policy on farmers in developing countries, the developmental impacts of the E.U.’s Economic Partnership Agreements, and the relationship in Africa between infrastructure and farmers’ incomes. Before this, Leanne worked in Geneva at the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development, where she set up its Programme on Clothing and Textiles. During the prior two years, she worked as a researcher at the School of Development Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. Leanne holds an M.A. in development studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a B.A. in liberal arts from the University of Arizona.
