China Open Resources for Education has Translated over 1oo Courses into Chinese http://www.core.org.cn/en/index.htm
For the field of Open Educational Resources to continue to grow and thrive we must develop a deep understanding of the demand for free and accessible high quality content. We must also grapple with, and address, barriers that impede creation, use and re-use.
This has led us to provide support for portals, sites that aggregate open materials from multiple places around the Web. One of our interests is to support portals that start from the perspective of the intended user, rather from the perspective of one or multiple collections of materials.
A second area of interest is to better understand how communities of like minded teachers or learners can come together to use freely available resources for specific teaching, learning and research purposes.
A third interest is how to create feedback systems to capture user experiences and identify and easily address unmet needs and areas of challenge. In particular, we would like to provide users with a way of sharing their feedback and evaluation of open materials.
A fourth interest is in ways of supporting users to create new materials and to mix and remix existing materials for their own teaching, learning or research purposes.
