Jenn Fox joined the Foundation in January 2008 as a Project Manager in the Environment Program. Her focus is developing the global philanthropic network organized to win the fight against climate change.
From 1998 to 2007, she worked for Energy Solutions on energy efficiency-related policy development and project management. She wrote the first Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Plan for the City of Oakland, including performing sector projections and baseline analysis for the transportation, solid waste and energy sectors.
In 1996, Jenn was awarded Service Medals for work on the Sacramento Federal Implementation Plan and Puna Geothermal Facility, Hawai’i. Her work at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from 1993 to 1997 also involved air pollution control in California’s Central Valley and national emissions trading rulemaking. She has worked domestically and internationally to apply science in resource conservation policy. Her research as a Fulbright scholar in 1994 focused on hydroelectric decisions and the interplay between policy makers, engineers, geologists, and corporations.
Jenn is an avid cyclist and President of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.
