The Philanthropy Workshop West

The Philanthropy Workshop West (TPW West), through its core curriculum and alumni activities both in the classroom and in the field, teaches small groups of dedicated, new philanthropists how to increase the effectiveness of their grantmaking.

The goal of TPW West is for its participants to comprise a network of strategic philanthropists that individually and collectively deploy more dollars both internationally and domestically and are effective grant makers, as demonstrated by application of skills acquired in TPW West.

The objectives of The Philanthropy Workshop West fit squarely with the Philanthropy and Organizational Effectiveness Initiative's overarching aim of promoting the flow of philanthropic capital to the best performing nonprofit organizations and its specific strategy of promoting effective philanthropic practices.
