Assistant to the President

Larissa Collins comes to the Foundation from a three-year stint working in the for-profit world at a local biotech company. Before that, she worked for nonprofits, including First 5 Calaveras, a government-grant funding agency "with a lot fewer zeros on the amounts they distributed." Over the course of her career, Collins has worked for other nonprofit and educational institutions, including Planned Parenthood and Stanford University. She holds an undergraduate degree in medical anthropology and is determined to (eventually) hold an M.P.H. Her current second occupation (and slight distraction from the M.P.H. goal) is raising two great kids.
