Magolis Briones
Mexico Consulting Associate Program Officer, Environment Program
Magolis Briones serves as a consulting associate program officer for the Foundation’s Environment Program in Mexico. In this position, she coordinates grantmaking strategies to build broad-based support for clean vehicles and fuels in Mexico.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2004, she worked in the international press office of Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as for the State Employee Social Security and Social Service Institute (ISSSTE) in Mexico and for the Public Education Ministry in the areas of communications and public relations.
Before that, Ms. Briones served as the Technical Secretariat of Immigrant Affairs within Mexico’s Ministry of the Interior and as an advisor to the country’s Ministry of Energy. In addition, she worked for the Secretary of Transportation and Highways within the Mexico City municipal government.
Ms. Briones received a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Xochimilco campus of the Metropolitan Autonomous University in Mexico.
