Heath Wickline

Communications Officer

Heath Wickline is a Communications Officer at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, where he supports program staff and grantees in developing communications strategies, manages social media, and helps tell stories about the Foundation’s work.

Prior to joining the Foundation, he was an independent consultant to nonprofit organizations, foundations and government agencies, creating communications plans and offering counsel on branding and messaging. From 2008-2010, he was a senior account manager at Underground Advertising, where he helped develop print, broadcast and online campaigns for Bay Area and national nonprofit organizations.

Earlier in his career, Heath directed the SPIN Project, an organization that taught grassroots organizations how to communicate more effectively for themselves. He currently serves on the advisory committee of the SPIN Academy, a residential training retreat for nonprofit communications professionals.

Heath holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Boston University and a master’s degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University.
