Overview
Aimusic is a training ground for students learning traditional Chinese music, instruments, and cultural practices, serving more than 200 students. The San Jose-based organization features multiple performing ensembles including Firebird Youth Chinese Orchestra, made up of young musicians performing throughout the year. Aimusic has a strong subsidized tuition program for students from low-income families, and maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio. With renewal support, Aimusic will continue its training program and present concerts. Continued funding will also support a newly developed international Chinese music festival featuring artists from mainland China and cultural exchange activities.
