for the development and adoption of the MyOpenMath platform in community colleges
This grant to the Cerritos College Foundation seeks to improve the affordability and quality of mathematics instruction—a perennial obstacle to college graduation—by combining a significant body of preexisting open textbooks, open videos, and other open educational resources, together with an open online practice system based on lessons learned from extensive field testing. The grant would result in high-quality, freely available, open math courses aligned with a greatly improved open source math practice platform that can be easily adopted in place of existing commercial systems.
