Overview
The Council on Foundations encompasses a group of approximately 1,600 independent, operating, community, public and company-sponsored foundations, and corporate giving programs in the United States and abroad. Through its annual conference, regional issue-based salons, online Philanthropy Exchange platform, and other offerings, the Council aims to "provide the opportunity, leadership, and tools needed by philanthropic organizations to expand, enhance, and sustain their ability to advance the common good." In 2015 the Council will continue to implement its new five-year strategic plan, with a focus on ensuring a sustainable economic model for the Council moving forward.
