Education Program Grantseekers
Thank you very much for your interest in the Hewlett Foundation’s Education Program.
If your organization is interested in applying for a grant, we ask that you first read the Program’s home page and strategic plan before submitting a Letter of Inquiry.
After this review, if you feel your project or organization aligns closely with our goals and strategies, you are invited to submit a brief Letter of Inquiry addressing either our Deeper Learning or Open Educational Resources strategy.
Please note that while the Foundation accepts Letters of Inquiry, competition for funding through this process is quite challenging, and we are able to fund few, if any, Letters of Inquiry each year. The majority of grants are awarded to organizations by invitation.
Unfortunately, due to the volume of submissions we receive, we cannot respond to phone calls or emails regarding Letters of Inquiry. We will do our best to respond to submissions via our online Letter of Inquiry form within 30 days.
Please use only the Letter of Inquiry form attached to our specific guidelines; do not submit a full proposal unless we expressly invite you to do so, as it will be neither reviewed nor considered.
You may submit a Letter of Inquiry at any time during the year; there are no submission deadlines.
