Jean Gleason Stromberg

Jean Gleason Stromberg is an independent director and chair of the operations committee of the board of the Deutsche DWS mutual funds, advised and managed by Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management, an affiliate subsidiary of Deutsche Bank.
She was formerly director of Financial Institutions and Markets Issues at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO)—the investigative, evaluation, and audit arm of Congress. Prior to that, she was a partner in the international law firm of Norton Rose Fulbright (formerly Fulbright & Jaworski LLP), where she represented, primarily in a counseling role, publicly-held corporations on securities and corporate matters. She also has been associate director for investment management at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and has clerked for the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
In the past, Ms. Gleason Stromberg served on a select committee chaired by former Senator Warren Rudman to review the oversight, operations, and governance of the NASDAQ Stock Market; on the Board of the American Bar Retirement Association, the funding vehicle for retirement plans for members of the ABA; on the Board of the Mutual Fund Directors Forum; and the Board of ServiceSource, a leading nonprofit disability resource organization with offices in nine states, serving more than 15,000 individuals with disabilities.
She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and B.A. from Wellesley College, as well as a master’s in media and public affairs from George Washington University.
