Performing Arts Resources to Support Emerging Leaders at Arts Organizations

The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is dedicated to fostering vibrant nonprofit arts organizations. Through our research on leadership in nonprofit arts organizations, we have investigated the ways that arts organizations can recruit and retain emerging arts leaders.

In our 2009 report "Involving Youth In the Arts" we found that while early-career arts leaders are inspired to enter the arts administration field, they face barriers to developing satisfying and successful careers.
