Performing Arts Resources to Support Emerging Leaders at Arts Organizations
The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is dedicated to fostering vibrant nonprofit arts organizations. Through our research on leadership in nonprofit arts organizations, we have investigated the ways that arts organizations can recruit and retain emerging arts leaders.
In our 2009 report "Involving Youth In the Arts" we found that while early-career arts leaders are inspired to enter the arts administration field, they face barriers to developing satisfying and successful careers. Below please find links to free, online resources that may be helpful to you and your arts organization in addressing some of these barriers.
