The Hewlett Foundation is a proud supporter of Silicon Valley Community Foundation, which works with local weekly papers each year to raise funds for nonprofits across the region. Silicon Valley Community Foundation administers Holiday Funds for the Los Altos Town Crier, Mountain View Voice, Palo Alto Weekly , The Almanac (Menlo Park), Pacifica Tribune and The Pleasanton Weekly, which ask their readers to support good causes during the holiday season. Together, the funds have made grants totalling more than $5 million over the years.
