Joan Garretson

Executive Assistant to the President and Director of Facilities

Joan Garretson is the Assistant to the President and the Director of Facilities at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. As Assistant to the President, she manages the office of the president, manages the production of the quarterly board book, and serves as liaison to the board of directors. She also manages the team that takes care of the foundation facility and grounds.

Previously, Joan spent two decades in the corporate business world where she worked on issues involving manufacturing, business administration, sales, and facilities. Most recently, she supported the president and managed the facilities of the start-up, Centerpoint Broadband Technologies.

Joan grew up and attended school in the Bay Area, including studying business administration at San Jose State University.
